We had a special visit this morning from a very lovely lady, who brought us Big Mike's Donuts! We appreciate our residents so very much, and we are so thankful for all of you. Thank you Phyllis and Dennis Fulkerson for the amazing breakfast. Your kind gesture surely brightened our day!

The Village of Hanna City (VOHC) purchases its water from Illinois American Water (IAW). In January of 2023 IAW increased its water rates by approximately 40%. The VOHC just received notice that IAW is considering another increase that could be up to 24% effective in January of 2025.
Attached is an article that discusses these significant price increases and provides a way for us to voice our concerns with the Illinois Commerce Commission who has to approve the proposed 2025 increase.

More information can be found at: https://www.hannacityil.com/page/village-of-hanna-city-grant-program-2024 . (While the program isn't necessarily first come first serve, waiting too long may lower your chances due to funding exhaustion.)
