The Village
of Hanna City and the Hanna City Park District are pleased to announce the
approval of an intergovernmental agreement to enhance the Park District
facilities located at 511 N. Main Street.
In recent
years, the Village of Hanna City has worked hard to create both a Tax Increment
Financing District and a Business Development District aimed at generating new
funds to support community and economic development.
These districts
aid Hanna City’s efforts to bring new businesses to town, further support
existing businesses and provide funding for community development programs. Every time village residents and
non-residents spend their dollars at local Hanna City businesses, they are
doing their part to help further local community and economic develop
initiatives like this one.
Specifically,
the Hanna City Village Board just approved the use of Business Development District
funding to help replace the Park District’s gymnasium roof interior.
